A young man in modest clothes knocked on the door of a stately home. “I am Antonio Tonelli,” he said to the lady of the house, “and I would like to know how much the estate in Torbole on the lake is being sold for.” The surprised lady replied that she was returning with her father to negotiate the purchase, but the boy, without hesitation, replied, “I am the one buying.”

It was 1950 and Antonio, in his early twenties, already had concrete ideas and a clear vision of the potential of this piece of land, a reclaimed swamp, which would from that time on become the property of the Tonelli family. The history of the camp begins later, in 1985, with Giovanni, Pia and their children. Over the years, the camp has gone through many transformations and renovations, adapting to the changing times and needs of travelers. Today, under the leadership of Lorenzo and Matteo, Camping Al Porto is a modern campsite with 3 stars.
